Obsessed? Just a little.

Hey all you Twilight fans out there! I just checked out Stephenie Meyers' website and was ecstatic to see that she has posted the majority of the official cast for the new Twilight movie! YEAH!!! So I thought, for those of you who don't frequent her website like I do, I'd post a few pics of the actors they've chosen. So here goes...

(From left to right) Kellan Lutz (Emmett), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Elizabeth Reaser (Esme), Robert Pattinson (Edward), Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Ashley Greene (Alice), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper).

Kristen Stewart (Bella)

I hope you're all as excited as I am. I'm a little skeptical of some of the actors they've chose to play some of the characters (Jasper and Edward in particular) but after seeing the "official" photo of the Cullen fam I may be pleasantly surprised. Can't wait till they cast Jacob! Let me know what all of you think! (For more info check out www.stepheniemeyer.com)

My Soap Box Moment

Ok... so I know I already posted today but I need to vent for a minute or I think my head will EXPLODE!!! So here's my soap box moment. For all of you parents out there, when you come to a place of business (particularly a mortgage company as is my experience) and you bring your children with you, please remember: THE RECEPTIONIST IS NOT YOUR BABYSITTER AND IS NOT IN CHARGE OF WATCHING YOUR LITTLE HELLION! THE RECEPTIONIST DOES NOT GET PAID FOR THESE SERVICES AND THEREFORE IS NOT OFFERING TO PROVIDE THEM UNLESS YOUR CHILD IS WILLING AND CAPABLE OF SITTING IN A CHAIR AND COLORING QUIETLY WHILE THE WORK I AM GETTING PAID FOR GETS DONE. THE REST OF THE WORLD (as funny as it may be to you and your family) DOES NOT WANT TO HEAR YOUR CHILD SAY, "I HAVE A POOP IN MY BUTT" WHILE YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR PLEASANT MEETING ABOUT REFINANCING. In short, if you bring your children with you, please remember: when you enter a place of business where they do not advertise "Nursery Provided" it is YOUR responsibility to keep your child from wandering the halls, opening and slamming the door, pounding on windows, getting wacked in the head, falling on the floor, yelling at the top of their lungs, and generally keeping them out of mischief. And finally, don't apologize for your child's bad behavior unless you are ready and willing to do something about it- it will fall on deaf ears. Just keep in mind for the future that the receptionist is the one that answers your phone calls and greets you (most days) with a smile as you walk through the door. If you wouldn't care to be greeted by a crabby, hormonal pregnant lady, consider yourself warned. Thank you ever so kindly... Now in all fairness, I realize that there are those days when children are just a handful and will wreak havic as you try to complete your daily tasks. I'm really not a bad person and I really don't hold any grudges against most parents. Just some...

Needed a chuckle just 'cause it's Monday...

I've Been Tagged...

So here goes, Lianne:

I was 14 years old and in the 8th grade at Waterford. I had played my last season of middle school volleyball and couldn't wait to be a freshman in upper school. Life revolved around school, volleyball, church and piano lessons- oh how I miss the simple life...kind of.

5 things on my "To-Do List" today:

1. Not throw up
2. Stay awake at work
3. Drink 6-8 glasses of water
4. Clean the kitchen :( while watching Lost :)
5. Read at least 1 ch. in "What to Expect When You're Expecting" before falling asleep.

What would you do if you became a millionaire?

Buy and furnish our dream home (eco-friendly and completely self-sufficient with solar panels and a large garden- now if I could only learn how to keep plants alive.) Buy a vacation home/cabin within driving distance and maybe purchase some fun toys (canoe, 4-wheelers, etc.) Pay off our cars and save for ours and our childrens' futures... can a million bucks do all that?

5 jobs I've had:

1. Kool-aid stand
2. Maceys bagger/checker
3. Maceys scanning clerk
4. Office assistant for several different summer sales companies
5. Receptionist for a mortgage company

5 things people don't know about me:

1. I have always wanted to take voice lessons.
2. My favorite author is Dr. Seuss.
3. I love, love, love pudding cups and garlic bread (but not necessarily together).
4. I hate the word wiggle- it grosses me out.
5. I hate to travel. Don't get me wrong, I love visiting new places I just hate all methods of getting there.

So there you have it! I tag Ciara and Meagan. Have fun!

The Big Announcement

So, I debated whether or not to post this announcement quite yet, but figured that pretty much everyone who reads our blog has already found out that yes, WE'RE PREGNANT! We're not ready to announce it at church or anything but thought all of our close family and friends should know. I'm not sure how far along I am yet or when my due date is because I haven't been to see an OB. (So if any of you have any recommendations for good ones, please let me know asap!) I'm pretty sure it will be somewhere around late September or early October judging from when I started to feel sick. On that note, if any of you read my last post, you'll remember that I was pretty upset about being sick and that I wanted to track down whoever brought it on the cruise with them and throw them overboard... Needless to say I'm not upset about being sick anymore and when I got to thinkin' I realized I would have had to throw Gordon overboard! :) That wouldn't have been pretty! The other reason I decided to announce it on our blog is because I was reading some stuff today on treatments for morning sickness and read that sympathy, support, and suggestions from other women can do wonders. So if any of you awesome moms out there have any suggestions as to what helped you through morning sickness or pregnancy in general, I'm all ears! All-in-all, we're thrilled to have the opportunity to be parents and are so grateful for this amazing blessing in our lives!! It's a big step but one that we've looked forward to for a long time. It's pretty incredible that our Heavenly Father is willing to trust us "young crazy kids" with such a huge responsibility. A big thanks to everyone for sharing in our excitement! We love you all!

I'M SICK & TIRED OF IT!!!

I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired!! I have to apologize to all those who think I've disappeared off the face of the earth. I'm still alive...barely! Gordon and I spent last week on a cruise and I unfortunately spent half the time with a cold/flu-like illness. Quite a few other people in our group also got sick and I decided towards the end of the cruise that I was going to track down the person who brought it on board with them and throw them over board! I've been sick for over a week now and I'm tired of it! I'm tired of throwing up! I'm tired of blowing my nose! I'm tired of laying in bed the minute I get home from work and then forcing myself out of bed to go back to work the next morning! I'm tired of stomach pain! I'm tired of any food commercial on television making me want to vomit! I'm tired of any food actually making me vomit! I'm sick and tired of it!

Ok... so maybe that was abit much... but I promise eventually I will return to the land of the living and I will finally post the pictures from our cruise so you all can see what we did when I wasn't sick in our cabin. Until then, say a little prayer for me that this will finally pass. (I would say pray that it will pass quickly but I think we're passed the "quickly" point now...) Hope you're all doing well and I hope you're able to avoid the nasty flu going around this winter better than I did!
