Celebrating an Amazing Woman

To get everyone up to speed on what has been going on in the Richards family, last week Gordon and I travelled back to UT for the funeral of his mom, Charlotte Richards. She passed away after a long battle with cancer. We were able to spend a few days back with all of his family. All of the services were really beautiful and it was a great opportunity to reflect on what a truly incredible person she was. We were so fortunate to have such a wonderful, caring woman in our lives and are grateful for the time we had with her. She was such an example of love, sacrifice, and faith and we were grateful for the opportunity to return home to celebrate her wonderful life and achievements. We have been so grateful for the knowledge we have of Heavenly Father's plan for us through all of this. It has reinforced even more clearly the importance of family and we are so grateful for the ones we have been blessed with. A big thanks to all who have expressed their love and concern.

What a great tribute! I hope that it was a good trip. It is too bad the reason for the trip, but I hope that it was at least good to see family and pay your respects. I'm glad that Gordon got to spend some time with her before she passed away too. On a side note, I love all of your slide shows. Great pictures!

That was a nice picture and tribute to Gordon's mother. It is amazing how with the passing of time, the good things are what are remembered and the not so good times seem to fade. I'm so glad we will be able to see our loved ones again when we won't have to worry about pain, disease, growing old, and separation. It will be a pretty wonderful reunion.

I also loved your little slide show. You kids are pretty clever with the computer.

Sorry about your mother-in-law. Gordon is too young to lose his mom.

I am glad to hear that Gordon and you are finding peace with Heavenly Father's plan. Its hard to believe that people go through hard times such as this without the knowledge that it is not the end. I heard that truly righteous people never say good bye... If we can do anything for you please ask.
