Random

So tonight as I was rocking Tyler to sleep, I started thinking about painting and for some odd reason this particular painting came to mind. It was painted with oil on 4 different pieces of canvas. It's one I did my first year in college and because of that has some fundamental problems, but thinking about it made me miss painting a lot all of a sudden. I haven't painted in at least a couple years and it was definitely an outlet and a serious stress reliever. So now I'm thinking I should really take it up again...for health reasons of course. ;) Random, I know. When I told Gordon that I had been thinking about this particular painting while rocking Tyler to sleep, he literally laughed out loud. Isn't that what everyone thinks about when they have a free minute?

I believe EVERY woman needs a creative outlet other than children! Men don't understand that... :) I dream about quilts ALL the time!

I am with you painting is a wonderful stress reliever. I too haven't done it for a long time. Maybe you can get Tyler some of the water colors and he can paint beside you if you have a good place to paint.

That is a pretty cool painting. I know how you can get back into it... You can do a painting for my house! Just let me know when you want to and I'll buy the canvas for you. :)

You definitely need to start painting again! (I think this is the only thing I've ever seen of yours). I literally did not photograph for about five years after graduating....total burn out. But happy I started again. Wouldn't say it is a stress reliever though. :P
Maybe sewing is that for me. Sometimes. Anyhoo...I'm rambling.

You have an awesome talent! You really should keep it up. And you should post more of your paintings and pictures on your blog. I love to look at them.

I don't think I've ever seen that painting before. It's cool! Like Lianne, I've got a few things I'd commission you to do for me! I still love my barn and I just spent the morning trying to find a "painting" I could afford to go in my living room.

I spent some time yesterday browsing at JoAnns for frames and then looked at their "artwork" too. Didn't find anythign I loved, but then again I'm not sure what I am looking for either except I'd like a change.

Go paint--and tell Gordon to leave you alone. We all need a creative outlet.

I didn't know you painted, Trish! That's awesome!!! Go for it, I say. Every wife and mother needs something for herself... :) I'd love to see some of your stuff sometime, if you'd let me!
