Breaking Dawn: Loved, loved, loved it!! For all of you fans out there, Stephenie Meyer gets two thumbs way up for the last book in this wonderful series!! For all of you who have yet to be converted to the Twilight/Edward craze, you have my sympathies that you haven't yet experienced the wonders of Forks, WA... You'll all have to work on changing that! Definitely one of the highlights of the summer for me. Judge that any way you want. And yes, my life really is that boring right now! :)
SYTYCD: Way to pull out a mediocre season with a great finale! After losing all of my favorites prematurely, I was definitely pleased to see that the finale was definitely still worth watching. All I can say is "HOORAY FOR THE RETURN OF WADE!!" Lianne and I decided that his absence was what made for a less-than-fantastic season but I was so pleased to see his awesome work in the finale. Gordon and I will be planning a trip to Vegas to see more of your amazing stuff!
Projects, projects and more projects: So it's been my goal to start and FINISH projects this summer. And I'm happy to report I've done pretty well. Projects are seriously my summer lifesaver! They save from boring days, rainy days, too hot days, and every other day in between. Everyone should be on the project train!
The Olympics: Way psyched about this! As others have said, the olympics truly are amazing! I love the spirit of our crazy messed up world coming together. It makes me feel connected to so many other places in the world. A little like I'm not so isolated in my own little life for a few weeks. Can't wait to watch more!
Pregnancy Update: We're now nearing week 33 and are getting psyched for our new little addition! It's crazy to think that the baby is due next month! The doctor says everything is looking good and we've got an active little guy in there- which I can definitely attest to. On a side note, a cry for help to all of you who have experienced the wonderful last trimester of pregnancy: Any recommendations on how to keep your tummy from itching?? It's driving me CRAZY and I can't seem to find anything that eases the itchiness. Any suggestions?

Tricia,
I hear you about the itchy belly--it's driving me nuts too. I've aske a couple of women--they've said lotions with Shea butter have helped. I bought some lotion the other day I think it was a shea butter/oatmeal mix (I can't remember the name brand) but that's kind of helped me. I've also heard Eucerin Cream Lotin is really good. One lady actually ended up using a steroid anti itch cream (but I would check with your doctor first). Anyway, I'm excited for you to come back. You'll have to let me know if you find out anything else that works better. It's crazy what these little babies do to our bodies--but they're worth it!
Good times...especially that last trimester!!
Only 2 more weeks in Ohio!!! Then we can all get back to "normal" life. Oh wait, your life is about to change BIG time! :) We are so excited for you, Gordon and your little baby. Sorry I can't offer any advice on the itchiness... I hope you can find something!
Hi Tricia,
I thought because you were there first to introduce me to Twilight I should report back to you! I just finished the fourth book and loved it. How addicting are these books? I swore I wouldn't buy the fourth book but during a long night at a hospital with a friend having a baby I cracked! Thanks for introducing me to this weird world, I have to admit I am in love with Edward=) Any way hurry home, Kevin and I can't wait for you to come and see our new house.

Sorry, can't help with the itchiness--either I didn't have it or I've blocked it from my memory! Good luck with your last month. It goes by fast, then you'll hardly remember your life without a baby.
Add poison ivy to your bulging belly! About the beginning of my last trimester with Benjamin I got poison ivy and somehow on my belly (must have already been itching). After 2-4 weeks of bouts and creams and doctor visits the steroids cream finally soothed it. After that it did't seem so bad.
ooh, I never really got an itchy belly. Are you having a baby shower? Are you guys back yet? anyhoo, I loooove the project train.
Hi Tricia! This is Steffani Dastrup from your ward! I ran across your blog through Ciara's! First off all, congrats on your pregnancy! We recently had a little boy and there is just nothing better! As for you itching tummy... The thing that saved my life is Mama Bee's Belly Butter. I put it on every morning and night, and then whenever my belly was itchy! It was wonderful, and even seemed to keep the stretch marks to a minimum! You can get it a Target! Hope that helps! Good luck with this last trimester! It seemed to DRAG for me!
So you need to post again before you have the baby. Cause after that, you're not going to have very much time...
