Nancy was nice enough to teach me how to make these winter hats. My first attempt, however, didn't turn out as planned. As you can see, it was a little too small. Oh the things we put our children through!! Hopefully the next one will turn out at least a little better.

I think it didn't turn out half bad for your first one! I'm dreading trying to figure out Jenna's instructions for crocheting a hat...in the kit I gave her for Christmas. So far she's content just making a chain. Phew! Tyler's getting so BIG!! You have to move to PA for the summer so we can play with him.
That is way cute. I love Tyler's expression. And in response to your blog before - I have never used a Magic Bullet, the Costco Truffles are to DIE for, I saw John and Kate Plus 9 the first time at Nancy's the other day, I love Last of the Mohicans as well. What a great movie and soundtrack! And there is nothing better than good appliances. :)
And in response to Annette's comment - you guys better not move to PA. They need to move back to Utah!
Way to go Tricia--being creative. I love the picture. It made me laugh and I needed a good laugh. He looks like he's thinking "Okay mom, do you really expect me to wear this? I'll humor you for a picture but that is all." He is a cutie.
He's just a little candy cane! He is so so so cute! And yes he is getting so big! But good work on the hat you did a really good job.
I think it turned out pretty good for a first time. He is such a little cutie.
Love it. He looked hilarious!! I cant wait to hear how the other ones have turned out!!
Love the header, by the way!
You have to start somewhere and as far as I'm concerned baby hats are hard for the mere fact of trying to judge the size of their little heads. Some baby heads are not so little, really. So way to go for attempting.
I think you should rename your header caption to 2 Odd Ducks....and a duckling!
He looks EXACTLY like his dad.
i think it turned out CUTE! i like it!
