4-Months-Old and Valentine's Day

Sorry in advance for the long post, we haven't posted in a while...

Tyler is now 4-months-old! My, how the time flies!! He had his 4 month wellness checkup with the pediatrician last week and he now weighs 16 1/2 lbs. He is in about the 70th percentile for his weight and height. We are so grateful for our healthy little boy! It's so fun to watch him learn and grow and figure out how things work. We took some pics to commemorate his being 4-months-old. He's becoming such a little character!

We also celebrated Valentine's Day and hope you all had a wonderful "day of love" as well! :) On Friday, Gordon took me out to dinner. We were attempting to avoid the crowds that undoubtedly made the wait far too long on Saturday and when we were seated right away, we were glad we decided to celebrate early. It was fun to spend some time as a fam. After that we went over to my parents to play a few games and eat some yummy and, might I add, beautiful Vday cake that Nancy made. On Saturday I made Gordon a candle light dinner and for some reason Tyler really got a kick out of the candles...All in all it was a wonderful holiday. On a funny note, some of you know the story of the infamous Valentine's Day napkin holders I purchased a couple of years back but for those that don't... Gordon always gives me a hard time about purchasing any holiday decorations, placemats, or door hangers insisting that we don't ever use them. Well, I definitely had an "I told you so" moment when we were loading the dishes in the dishwasher and I went to put the placemats away. Lo and behold, what did I see laying in the drawer unused? MY VALENTINE'S DAY NAPKIN HOLDERS!!!! I had forgotten all about them. Alas, Gordon was right, we have-as yet- not used them...

The beautiful roses Gordon got me for vday.

I want you to post a picture of Gordon as a baby side by side with Tyler, because I think they are clones! And I'd like to see proof. :) He is definately a cutie!

Darling pictures! He's got the cutest expressions. I'm with Emily - I think he might be a Gordon clone.

Cute pictures. He is so much more expressive now and alert too. That's so funny about the napkin holders!! If you ever want to win battles like that, you must at all costs, remember to use them whenever possible!!

Those pictures are dang cute but he is much cuter in person. I love the way he gets a shy little look on his face and than busts out a big smile. He is going to kill the girls with those big blue eyes.
